I seem to be having trouble with Vixen controlling more than one parallel port. I built three 8 plug 8 relay setups to connect to parallel ports and i have three extra port cards I can use. Two are single port cards, one is a dual port card.
I did not use all at the same time. I've tried the dual port card to make three ports and i've tried each one of the other single port cards to make two ports. I only have room for one add-on card.
It controls the main port but not the others. I've tried making the plugins all 16 channels, all 8 channels but to no positive result. The cards are good i've tested then on other PCs and mine, My parallel cables are good i've tested each one on other PCs and mine. I've tested each plug relay setup on the main port on my PC, each works seperately.
I've read the documentation and combed this forum for insight.
Any suggestions would be great.

Mark,
As a shot in the dark here, did you configure each of the plug-ins you are using with the proper part address?
For 3 ports you will need 3 of the same plug-ins, since you are using 3 of the same setups. Each plug-in need to have a green check mark in the sequence plug-in list. In addition each plug in needs to be configured with the proper channels mapped to it and the proper part address as well.
The plug-in used for the pc parallel port should be a no brainer, just select it, the address should be defaulted and then map channels 1-8 to it.
The second plug-in should have the proper address and have channels 9-16 mapped to it.
The third plug-in should have the proper address as well as channels 17-24 mapped to it.

Brian,
Yes sir did that. Going to try using the beta 2.0 version. I'll start from nothing and try a small new sequence for 16 ports.
It was going so well too. found all my parts all went together quick and easy (mostly), each circuit worked from the main port.
Thanks for the reply,

Hello, all and thank you Brian,
I guess I've been working on this way too late at night and for several months now making sure I'm ready. I don't want to embarrass myself with this display. My kids and wife have told too many people about it already.
Anyway I have it working now. I came down early tonight to try.....not sleepy. I think I may stay away for a few days....
Thank you all for your help before and recently.

Solution: (User Error)
Went back to basics and reinstalled the plug-ins. I checked the hardware config to make sure I had the correct address for the PORT cards. It turns out I had the wrong port addresses. I'm not sure at this point if I typed in the wrong port address initialy for the second and third ports or if there are defaults in the software. I just assumed the values presented were correct. Once I typed in the correct port addresses in the plug-ins setup everything work perfectly.
This is actually a very easy product to use and you can create wonderful results. I cant wait to get the new beta 2 version going.

Can you post what you did to fix the problem for future reference?
