Hey Lewis. Whats the trick to getting two to run on 1.11? Just plug the second one in. I got the first one working perfect and a cable made for the second. Now I'm out of SSR's and waiting to see if I can get 100 more of the $3 ones or if I have to find something different.

TERBObob,
Currently the NI DIO-96 plug-in (available on the Vixen website) only seems to work with version 1.1.11. It was working with multiple cards last time I tested it.
You also need the additional NI dll files (also available on the Vixen website) to get it to work.
It also had problems for me under Win 2000 but it worked great under Win XP.
I don't know if KC has done any work on trying to get this plug-in to work with Vixen 2 yet.

There are 3 files on the Vixen website for version 1.1 and also need NIDAQ 8 from NI website...I also ran 2 cards without a problem, just getting the cards in the right order. Breakouts make life a bit easier too and sorting out which channels run on which lines. Only used WINXP, havent tried any other versions of Windoze but then again KC did design the plugin through WINXP.I havent gone through Vixen 2 to see what the extra's are and if they pertain to a PCI card. Long as it can turn the channels on and off reallllllyyyy quickly im happy with Vixen 1.1...

Yeah thats a GOOD point . Does anyone know of a diagram of the pinout to channel number ? ( the one below is kinda mumbo jumbo to me - LOL )

.off the top of my head Terbo, Pin 1 is Channel 24, Pin 47 is channel 1, Pin 2 is channel 48, Pin 48 is channel 25, ODD Pins are the low 24 channels, Even Pins are the high 24 channels, The easiest way to hook up the channels is getting hold of a couple of breakout boards or breakout kits.

I wireed SCSI cable to the Amp connector and used a VOM with Vixen test to number the channels. They seem to come down in odd groups.
terbobob from the diagram the logic of their numbering sequence seems to be:
APA0 to APA7 (ch 1 to 8 )
APB0 to APB7 (ch 9 to 16)
APC0 to APC7 (ch 17 to 24)
then continuing on to ch 96 with
BPA ...
BPB ...
BPC
CPA
CPB
CPC
DPA
DPB

Anybody asked KC to see if there is even any plans on adding the plug ins for these DIO cards to the updated VIXEN ?
