Ren-C issues

I just finished up building a Ren T and 2 Ren C's for the two Grinch boards that I have. I noticed that the heartbeat isn't timed the same on the 2nd board as the first. I have them hooked up just like in the wiki. Should the heartbeats be timed the same?

wouldnt think there is any relation with the heartbeats. there is nothing that syncs them so i guess they could start beating at any time

wouldnt worry about it.

I was also having latency with Vixen responding my lights weren't responding like I thought they would. (I was testing with 6 sets of lights.) The dimming was choppy as well. After reading further this morning I found the thread on running adjustable preview while running lights.

It turns out that the latency last night was caused by a windows update that was running in the background that I hadn't noticed. I was also running the adjustable preview.

WOW!! What a huge differnece it makes by turning off the preview! Of course not having Windows running a bunch of junk in the background helps tremendously as well.

Lights are dimming smoothly now! Wooo Hooo!
