View Full Version : Having trouble finding the library?

This is for information in case anyone else runs into this issue as it has kept me busy for a few hours now... If anyone else is actually still running XP for their show computers.

I was looking through my HLS library and had a bunch of entries (4). Three of them I could not work with and the fourth was a test one I created. I went to the program library folder (c:\hls\library) looking for the .hlsLIB files but I could not find them. Finanlly I did a search and found them in my Documents and Settings folder.

The cause was once I installed HLS 8 I clicked the "Pin to Start Menu" button. The problem was I pinned the HLS.EXE file directly.

What you need to do is create a shortcut and specify "Start in c:\hls" (if that is your HLS folder) and then pin the shortcut to your start menu.

Then you may have to open sequence and rebuild effects database but your files should then start saving in the proper folder.
