Great job Brian moving this monster to its new home.

Perhaps a bit early in the migration, but could we have a vote or run a poll on an appropriate festive skin/look to the site?

Here are a few suggestions;

Yes I liked the red & green Christmasy feel of the old forum, however progress is usualy a good thing to do. I do agree that once the forum has settled down and most of the moving home bugs are sorted a skin such as this one from your offerings would bring back that Christmas feel.

There's definatly some nice skins our there! (and I think that there are nicer ones than there are for phpbb!)

http://www.themesbydesign.net/forums...php?styleid=21 (like this one - maybe with a different background though)

http://www.forum-lance.com/index.php?styleid=53 this one is good to!

I personally dislike vBulliten's default skin very much. This one looks nice:

The only thing i dont like is that it doesnt use the whole screen. I just think it is a waste of space when sites dont use the whole screen.

here are some cool themes... I know they may not be vbulletin themes but we might be able to adapt them.

WOW... I really like this one. If the Home Page could be like that, it would be awesome, and the theme carry over into the forums. :)

Yep I'll give you that one, it does look good. Personaly, being from the UK I don't like Happy Holidays at the top. I know that's what many of you in America call this time of year - it's not a cryticism, so please do not be offended by my comment. Where does it come from? After all the time of year when all our efforts are displayed is Christmas, when many of us celebrate Jesus's birth. We in the UK usualy say Happy (or Merry) Christmas. I don't want to start a lengthy discusion on the subject, it was just an observation. :-)

no worries ptyyzzer, this is Do It Yourself Christmas not do it yourself holidays. I agree with you as does most of the USA.

I think new colors would look great here. I agree that the red/green colors of the old forum looked really good. Great job putting that together Brian. I really liked the "pop" of the colored ornaments over the white snowflakes.

The thing I don't like about the current colors is that everything seems to blend together. The variations of blue/gray tend to make everything look similar and are harder to pull out the new posts.

I think Christmas colors for a Christmas forum is the way to go.
