View Full Version : Eddie Effect for HLS

Attached is a file called EddieEffect.xls. It is inspired by Fast Eddy of Auschristmaslighting.com. If you use HLS and have Excel it is a fast way to make effect files that move colors horizontally across your entire light display. This allows for real quick setup of 16 universes and you can get the effects made in a matter of seconds.

I just realized that Excel reverses color and gives bgr values instead of rgb values. Attached is a corrected file.:shy:

Here is a video that shows some of the effects you can make from Eddie Effects for HLS. It is also a tutorial on how to use EE and how to use the results in HLS.

Thank you sir, looks great. Getting an error when trying this.

The debug highlights the timeline line.

I've just got what I consider 4 strings, roof1 , pillar 1 pillar 2 and flood1 1-10

fileout = Fname + fileout + ".hls"
fileout = Replace(fileout, " ", "")
My_filenumber = FreeFile
Open fileout For Output As #My_filenumber
For p = 0 To UBound(outrows)
timeline = ""
For r = 1 To 10
rr = outrows(p) - ((p + 1) * 100) + r - 1
If rr > 10 Then
rr = rr - 10
End If
timeline = timeline + FiniStrs(rr)
Next r
If rr < 0 Then
MsgBox ("1")
Print #My_filenumber, timeline
End If
Next p
Close #My_filenumber

Wondering What I could be doing wrong?

The most likely issue the setup of the strings on the layout tab. Perhaps you could do a screen print of that screen and post it here and will look it over.
