I would like to buy some little waterproof boxes such as the TA-200. I need about 32 of them. Who has the best price in quantities ?

Denny,

I sell these at www.wlcventures.com. However, the TA-200s ARE NOT waterproof but if they are installed in the vertical position, they will not fill with water.

Thanks
Chris

Wow, I am glad I asked. And I appreciate the reply Chis !

I was planning to use these to hold the RJ45 adapters for the DMX in/out (group buy) for the TIR Floods. But I need waterproof. I guess now I need emphasis on the "or similar" part of the title.

Does anyone make a waterproof box smaller than the CG-500 that is waterproof ?

Great question...I was starting to look for the same thing. I was thinking of a single gang outdoor outlet box.

The TA200s are "weather" proof just as the rest of the CG line is - I've used them for several years now during month-long rains - no issues at all. Obviously you don't want to put them with the holes pointing up but they have rubber grommets to keep the worst out. I put a small tie wrap through a location made for that on the box to ensure they don't fly open for some reason. Personally I see no problem putting the breakouts in these - it's what I'm going to use!

Weather proof allows them to breath so you don't get condensation on the inside.

They do look nice... minus the $10 each shipping... ouch!

I am glad to hear this. I use almost all CG boxes and have never had any issues. And with the TA-200s, it's hard to beat $3.50 per box. I have never owned a TA-200 so I am not sure where the holes are located. I would like to put the TA-200s on top of the base section of the TIR Floods.

This is an interesting box with no holes. Would have to add grommets.

I like this companies boxes. They prices are very nice for most of their cases.

Here is one that's waterproof but you'll need to use glands to get in and out.

Mouser has many of them.

Water Resistant Enclosure is what the ad says.
