Hi Everyone....I've never done this before...posted a song in "demo" version....but I just wrote it last night and I couldn't wait to see if you like it. It's going on my new Christmas CD that will be released in October. If you want the songs before then, you can pre-order at www.judypancoast.com (http://www.judypancoast.com) to get the mp3s as they are finished.
Thanks for listening and PLEASE give me feedback!

Thanks everybody! I'm really glad you like it. I had this idea that it could really be interactive with your audience....like as I'm singing "where is Santa Claus" you could actually light up all your different Santas so the kids who are watching could point to them and say "There he is!" Do you see what I mean? I think it would be a fun thing for the kids! Do you think that could work?

yes, families with kids would enjoy that.

For displays with pixel grids, the Santa could also be scrolled up/down or left/right/left to give a "peek-a-boo" effect. (I was planning to do something similar for the Hippo song).

During an instrumental segment or near the end you could also have some "Ho, Ho, Ho" in the background, and make it jump around between left and right tracks so that to those who are listening in stereo it sounds like he is moving around.

Should I put it on the new CD?

definitely.

I love it. I can't work it in this year but we can use it in 2013. Put me down for one.

Great song Judy! It is really great to sequence a song that is strictly about this hobby. One thought I had... It would be great if there was a song about the various colors of Christmas. People could make good use of rgb with a song that references colors (similar to the find Santa idea).

That's a great idea! We'll see what we can do with that stereo idea. Thanks!

That's how I did House on Christmas street. I actually had Santa Claus up on the roof! Just listening, thing I need to get an Elf, everything else is around here somewhere!

I'll give the song a :yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah: out of 5 Santa's. Thanks for thinking of the DIYC community and sharing your late night idea. I can see that the thought process for a Santa display has already begun.

Anyone have a spare set of "light up ears" for Judy to wear during these impromptu sessions?

Santa has never been part of my display, until now. I like it enough to put one in just for your song.

Your grass roots vid shows you're human. Glad to others that do good work in the wee hours.

Thanks so much for all of your kind comments!

I am working on the song in the recording studio now. It will be on my forthcoming CD "Christmas with Mrs. Claus" that will be released in October. If you pre-order the CD on my website, then you get an mp3 of each song as it is finished. There are nine completely finished right now, so if you ordered today, for example, you would get nine mp3s in your email (but not this song yet). Then, as soon as this songs is finished I'll send you the mp3 of it before the CD goes to the manufacturer to be duplicated. We are planning to be done with all recording by the end of the month, so you would have all the songs from the CD in mp3 form by the end of the first week of September. The link for pre-ordering the CD is here:

Thanks again for all your feedback! I appreciate it!!

Thank you! I seem to mess those links up every time. I guess when you click on the link button at the top of the reply area it automatically puts the "http" in there. Thank you for being so kind as to fix it!!
