Joe...

I'm just getting started in blinky-flashy and was wondering if HLS will work with the Grinch controllers that I've built? From what I've seen so far, your sequencer seems a little more intuitive to use than others. Thanks for making this available. I know in my case it will be a Godsend.

Thanks again,
Tom

If you're just starting then asking what protocol the Grinch uses may result in a questionable stare. :)

See if you can find some information - I look to.

Thanks for considering HLS.

The Grinch (http://doityourselfchristmas.com/wiki/index.php?title=The_GRINCH_Controller) is RJ's respin of the original 595 style controllers that use the parallel port to drive them and Vixen uses the "Olsen 595 Plug-in". There are DMX-Grinch adaptors around but not sure if OP is interested in that.

Thanks Brian - I'll see if I can find a spec on the Olsen 595.

Tom, get a REN-C to add dimming capabilities to your Grinch and then you can use the Renard protocol out of HLS.
