Will this unit work in the SSROZ's?

at 24 cents apiece, it would have a dramatic impact on the cost per completed unit of the SSROZ

I'm no guru but I see two issues immediately:

1) To get 24 cents apiece (which the manufacturer estimates, not guarantees), you have to buy 500 of 'em. (Future Electronics has 'em for $.80 in onesies, $.29 each for 500.)

2) The bigger issue is that this part is a TO-225 package, whereas the circuit boards are drilled for a TO-220 package. Although... now that I look at the dimensions on the datasheet, it appears the TO225 part will fit in the footpring of a TO220 part. I'd want someone else to double check this but it may not be an issue after all.

They do fit in the TO220 holes but it is tight. It is almost like they snap into place, there is no wiggle room. But on the plus side after they are in they hold themselves in for easy soldering.
