I now have a new computer and have installed everything the way it was on my old computer. I now have an AMD 64 Athlon X2 dualcore 4.6 MHZ with 1GB of ram. I translated my old sequences from V1.1 and tried to run them on the test version of 2.0. I only have the preview plugin running (no controllers hooked up to the computer) nothing else. I saw that the picture was "dimmable" and you could make it dark so I tried it all the way turned down. Whooops, crash. The sequence started but no light strands showed up like they should, just every few seconds one would lite up. I quick brought up my windows task manager performance tab (cntrl/alt/del) and saw it was running this system at 100%! When I clicked the stop button it did nothing and I had to kill it with the task manager, which took about a minute to kill that way. I did not get any error message from vixen during this procedure. I don't know if I have something set up wrong or what. I just tried turning it down slowly and it works fine at about half and so I went down a couple more clicks and it did the same thing (with showing the lights come on) except I was able to stop it with the stop button. I then got this error when I tried to open the preview setup: (which I could not continue from, had to click quit)

It works fine on my system with version 2.0.0.15 using a 997 x 632 160K JPG file. Try a different picture. Maybe there’s a size limit or an error in your file that Vixen can’t tolerate.

That is a doozy. I'd say pass the picture file along so I can try to reproduce it, but it would be quite a while before I could get to it.

I get this error with my main picture (that I have been using on Version 1.1 without problems) that is 3379KB and also on a picture that is only 172KB.

This is how I get this error.

Open standard sequence. Maximize the window. Click "attached Plugins". Click on adjustable preview (in the plugins in use pane) and then plugin setup button. Turn the image brightness all the way down and then click ok and then done. Start the sequence. Let it play a little bit and then click stop. now go back to the plugin setup and turn the brightness about 1/4 the way back up and then run the sequence again. Thats when the problems arise. If you can click stop and then go back to plugin setup is when I get the exception text I posted above.

I get this error each and every time I do this with either picture.....

Reproduceable AND you have the steps to reproduce it with. I can't ask for more.
