Anyone else run into this? At least it happen today.. I had some friends coming over to look what I had up and waited for Lights to come on... music played, but no lights.. Took me about 2 hours to figure out what was wrong... Only after using another computer they started to work again...

So has anyone else blew a parallel port? I figure I got some type of surge.. It rained last night but the lights ran smooth until the schedule end..
Any suggestions so this doesn't happen again?

Also.. How to fix? I have not looked into it yet... but do they sell PCI parallel port cards... I hate to get rid of it... Thanks

Comp USA does sell PCI parallel port cards. You have to use the Windows Device Manager to get the I/O address of the port so you can input it into the plugin address.

If there is a Compusa in his area...they closed their stores in a large part of the country earlier this year. And the rest are on borrowed time.

Did you try rebooting? I thought I blew my parallel port, I rebooted, then for some reason it worked???
