Making Ben's Mega Tree

Well, I have been really wanting an 18-20 foot mega tree. I finally got my wish!. I used the $45 in lowes giftcards I got to buy the parts.

Contruction

I got 2 sections of 10 foot 2" EMT conduit. It sounds small but, I am going to add eye bolts for guy wires on the top half and center to make it more rigid. I am also going to pound a 2 foot section into the ground as a support.

Here is some of the wrapping of the 100ct clear minis. You can see the wires runing down the pole. I didn't really know of a better way to do it except use some cheape $2 7 foot extension cords I got from Sears with another gift card. Also, the clear minis were bought with, you guessed it, another gift card ;) Santa was kind this year :p

Also, I am going to add guy wires at the middle and the top, then connect them at the same point in the ground (3 guy wires) about 15-20 feet out. To erect this giant pipe ( :lol: ) I am going to hook on a wire at the top then hook a nice handwinch the Fkostyun recomended for $20. Then just winch it up and connect all the lights.
