Ok. Just off of memory(i seem to do thing a lot like that), i remember that yo can use an olsen 595 in parallel with the ledtriks board. This may have been with the original beta boards. Is this still possible? if so, how would you set up a 595 board with a led tricks board but not run the tricks board?

I do not think you can run the Ledtriks and a 595 off the same port. They require different plug ins and utilize different pin configurations of the controlling port.

You may be referring to Ron utilizing his 595 board to verify the Ledtriks plug in was outputting data.

Hi,

The LEDTRIKs board and a 595/grinch have to be on seperate LPT ports.

you can run both a ledtriks (say on LPT1) and a 595 (say on LTP2) on the same PC.

and you can run RENARDs on the serial ports, too.

For info, I'll run a two parallel port PC with LEDTRIKs, GRINCH, and RENARDs connected to the Serial Port.
