copy sequences

When I copy a sequence and add it to a blank sequence it will not copy all of the sequence to the blank sequence what could cause this to happen?

I have a sequence that is 2 min 50 sec long when I copy it, it only copys 1 min 04 second to a blank sequence that is set for 3min long .:unsure::unsure::unsure:

Sounds to me like the event timer is set different. If the sequence you are copying has an event timer of 10ms, and you copy it to a sequence with a 25ms event timer, then it will not change the pattern of the sequence it just plugs it all in to the available grid. Sounds like you have a sequence with a longer timer that you are trying to copy to one with a shorter timer. So for instance if the original has a 100ms timer, and the blank one has a 50ms timer, a 2 minute sequence would copy to 1 minute.

Are both sequences set to the same event period length? Count the number of boxes in 1 second of the time line. For example a sequence with 50ms event will have 20 events every second and a sequence with a 10ms period will have 100 events in the same one second of time. They need to match of copy and past will not work.
