Hi all,

Does anyone out there know the details of LOR sequence files? I have a sequence file, and I'd like to see how some effects were done.

Thanks.

I think you can go to the LOR website and download a preview version of their software. This should allow you to open a sequence and edit it or in your case see how the sequencing was done.

Hey Guys,

I am interested in converting LOR sequences to vixen. How much demand would a program of this nature be?

I am most likely going to start using RJ's Lynx board next year as I like the DC dimming capability. But I will have lots of hours put into sequencing Music using LOR software and don't want to have to re-sequence everything in Vixen.

I will have over 25 songs done in LOR.

There already is a LOR1 to Vixen sequence converter out there.

Note that the demo version of LOR saves in a different version than the licensed version, as of LOR S2. Specifically, it encrypts files such that they can be opened only on the machine they were created on. Once the user purchases a license, these files will be saved in the standard format, which is XML.

If you're interested in specific effects, I could whip up a sequence file for you. My turn-around time might be a little slow right now during the crazy time though :)

Whoops, just realized this thread is old. Oh well ;) For what it's worth, if there's not a way to convert S2 sequences to Vixen, that would be a show-stopper for me (I have many hours of sequencing in S2...) Not planning on switching right now anyway, but I'm betting others are in the same boat...

The converter I've used from here only supports S2 sequences and only to Vixen 2.1 format. Unless there is a much older post for the S1 format I'm not aware of. I just converted all my LOR S2 sequences last night - works great!

Cool -- I'll have to play with it. Not 'til January though! (Or at least December when the lights are happily running...)

Note if you have S1 format AND you have LOR SW S2 installed, you can load the S1 and when you save it it automagically converts to S2. I've done this for a couple also. Then you convert to Vixen 2.1 with the tool and then prepare them with Vixen to get to 2.5 - - so like 5 steps later you have it - easy peasy!
