Got my Secret Santa gift today. I got a ups envelope from Lowes. I happen to be in a dispute with Lowes last month over a garage door. I had contacted the corporate office. The UPS envelope had a return address of the corporate office. I opened it up think it was a letter or something about the garage door. Inside was a Christmas card from Lowes. I thought to myself "They are sending me a Christmas Card to appologize for me having to contact them". I open it up and there is a gift card inside. so I think to myself "They are sending this for my trouble". I look at the top inside flap of the card and it is addressed to me. The From field reads "DIYC Secret Santa"! Now I am thinking damb! I should not have opened it yet. Oh well, how was I supposed to know. Anyway, whoever sent me this really surprised me. The circumstances of the past month helped but in any event I thank you, whoever you are!!! Good One!

I received my Secret Santa today :)
I now have some much needed lights and mounting hardware. Thanks to this pack I can now mount lights to the side of the house. 8) (I have Vinyl Siding). I did not know that such a holder was made until now.

I will keep the name a secret unless I am PM'ed that it is ok to say or the Santa wishes to make there own post.

I didn't know how to ship from my house anonymously, and i'm too much of an engineer to use NO RETURN ADDRESS! (what if it got lost?)... and if i shipped from a neighbor it would still be Boise Idaho (Not too many of us on DIY from Boise!) , so I just shipped it.... Not too much secrecy on my end :)

At this point I haven't seen anything from my secrete Santa. I followed up with Brian to make sure my address was correct. Also I haven't heard if the person I sent a gift to got it. I thought I sent it in enough time before Christmas but this was a weird calendar year for the post office and Christmas...

My Secret Santa Gift arrived this week.

My postie delivered a box from a well know Web store. Inside was a pair of wireless headphones. Perfect for editing my sequences and with enough range I can go outside and watch the sequences without having to carry a radio. very thoughtful.

THe funny part of it, the parcel arrived, with all my details, including my Cel number on the box. however there was no gift card.

Being an engineer , (dave you will like this), and knowing I had not ordered the headpohnes, I started a check of all my credit cards to make sure that there had not been any credit card fraud. All good, credit cards were maxed out by my wife, but no headphone purchases!.

Next step, contact the company, ask for confirmation that the headphones were for me, and I dont need to return them, or cancel my credit cards.

next morning, the Web company informs me it was a gift, and reveals my Secret Santa.
