Found these on the web. Sheet music and MP3s with instruments removed. They helped me, hope they help you. They are hosted on altrec.com, if they ever disappear, let me know and I'll host them and edit this post. I am working on making subtractive mp3s from these so you can hear just one/two of the voices - wish me luck.

This is VERY helpful ..... the way I do my sequencing is to make a track of each instrument, melody, harmony, etc. Haven't done Wizards in Winter, but now I might. Is this the only song that it was done with?

Well - I'll say this - Wizards in Winter sucks without a guitar! ;-)

That pretty much is my feeling with any of the parts missing.

WIW is what I am working on right now, I just did a google search for sheet music and found this. YMMV :D

I'll start on WIW and maybe we can compare what we get done. Here is an example of how I do it ... Sandstorm that I did just the other day after reading a thread about someone needing some help hitting the beat.

11675.

Here is a link to the first subtractive file (blinky-flashy.com/subs/WIW_Bass_And_Drums.mp3). It is just the bass and drums, turned out better than I thought it would :) This should help folks lay down a beat track.

If you already have WIW, I can provide a high quality MP3 that matches the length, start and bit rate exactly to what the bass and drum track have.

Jim,

Looks like a good start. Here is my WIW in progress and flattened, this should align perfectly with the Bass and Drum mp3 I posted earlier. -- John
