We have been talking about this light for a while here at Seasonal Entertainment, and now it is available! Our most popular flood light has grown up...and in a big way!!

The Rainbow Flood – EXTREME takes what all our customers asked for and combines it into one single light. We teamed up once again with Craig Marshall and put our heads together to come up with the most powerful do-it-yourself RGB LED floodlight on the market today! 56 super bright LEDs, each with 3 chips in them. Constant Current Technology gets the most light out of each and every LED. Fully weather resistant enclosure. One single cable needed to power and control each light. Daisy chainable with our waterproof cabling. A 5 channel DMX light with 2 strobe channels. You asked for it...you got it!

As usual, all our lights are available as a Do-It-Yourself Kit or as a fully assembled and tested kit. The lights can be found right here:

Please note that with each device string you will need one Power & DMX Blender. The Blender combines the power lines and DMX lines into one cable. You can then use our waterproof cabling, available in 3 different sizes, to connect the lights together. Also note that the lights will begin shipping on 10/15/11.

To make this introduction even better, we are offering these lights at the lowest possible prices we can! Every version of the Rainbow Flood – EXTREME is on sale from now until 10/17 at 8pm.

To sweeten the deal, we also are running our FINAL sale of 2011! All our DIY products are now on sale and will remain on sale until 10/17 at 8pm.

Final documentation on the new light will be posted tomorrow but the assembly manual is already available.

Don’t miss out on some great prices and the new RGB Floodlight everyone will be talking about this season!

Looks like a proprietary version of the DIYCFlood and Ren4Flood except TWICE as expensive and comes with an enclosure and requires proprietary cabling.

Guys - - Greg makes good products - it's up to you to decide if it costs more than you think and if so - move on - not really sure it calls for comments. To be perfectly transparent, if anything the DIYC flood is basically a copy of his Rainbow Flood - which will be part of my show this year as they were last year.

Thank you! I was thinking the same thing, but couldn't put it into words properly.

That flood looks nice, especially the way it fits with that enclosure. Out of my price range, but it appears to be a nice product none-the-less!

Ditto, I have a bunch of Gregs stuff and hopefully a crap load more will show up. This stuff runs well with many DIYC controllers.

Now that I've taken a closer look at the Flood and specs on it the price is really not that bad, the enclosure itself looks very well constructed and there are 56 3 chipped Superflux LEDs which gives out 3 times the amount of a standard LED Flood so it's like having 168 RGB LED's total which is like having three Floods in one, plus a few options and DMX it sounds like the price is quite reasonable for the quality of the product.

Well I want to thank everyone for the comments. The good, the bad and the ugly only make our stuff better.

Our stuff is designed to be reasonably priced commercial equipment. We have a lot of stuff in the works that will fit along those same lines. 2012 is shaping up to be a great year for us. In any event, all our equipment is available as a DIY kit or fully assembled. I started in this hobby with DIY equipment so I remain loyal to those that want to have the pleasure of building something for their display. If you don't want to build any of our products that are also available assembled. I don't need to make excuses but our prices are to pay for everything that goes into our products. This includes everything from the insurance for the products down to the shipping supplies.

In any event, please always feel free to contact me directly should you have any questions.

I think we're getting a little spoiled in DIY projects that always seem to cost less than $50 or so. While I don't have any of the Extreme floods, I do have some of the regular Rainbow floods and I'll certainly vouch that they're a very good quality design, they're easy to assemble, they perform well, and they're quite low-priced for the light output they provide. I'd completely agree with Mac that these extreme floods are reasonably priced. I've priced professional products aimed at the entertainment industry and they're twice what you'd spend on an Extreme Rainbow.

But what really makes these a good product is the excellent service you get from SeasonalEntertainment. They stand behind their products, they are accessible and make things right when things go bump in the night.

Sorry, I guess I got caught up in the moment.

If it is 3 times as bright as the DIYCFlood then it is definitely worth the money especially with the enclosure.

But can the special waterproof connectors and wire be bought separately to make custom length cables?

Yes, the pigtail ends are available in the Accessories section of the store. We also have the cables already made, if you don't want to make them yourself.

Is there a "lumen" spec? I didn't see it.
How was the "3 times" light output determined?
How much current does each superflux LED draw?

Are there more versions of LED floods? I thought there was a mini-flood using 100ma LEDs, but individual LEDs, that produces a high brightness output comparable to superflux leds.

I just want to remind everyone that the final sale of the year ends tomorrow (Monday 10/17) at 8pm EST. This is the absolute last sale of 2011 and is also the only time you will be able to get the Rainbow Flood Extreme at their introductary prices.

Please let me know if anyone has any questions on anything.
