really like that sound clip from national lampoon's christmas where clark plugs in the lights for the first time but i dont know where to find it.....would anyone have that clip i could borrow to sequence. It would be much appreciated.....thanks in advance

There's free software available to download that will capture audio from videos. That's what I did for my clip from 'Vacation' as well as my clip from 'Charlie Brown Christmas.' :)

i have this, um friend, who was able to plug a male-male "headphone" cable from the speaker output to the mic input on his PC and recorded the audio from charlie browns christmas playing from youtube. and recorded using the windows recorder.

If you use Mozilla Firefox you can use an add-on (both FREE!) called "youtube downloader". All you have to do is go to youtube (with the add-on installed) and an icon appears that says "save as Mp3" shows up on youtube. You click the icon and it downloads the audio off of the youtube clip. I'm sure the male-male cable works, it just seems wrong. :p

Then take the clip and edit it down in Audacity or other program, and you have it!
