I'd like to make my flagpole 20 ft mega tree into a mega spider for Halloween. I've got 8 purple stings for legs and I thought my pvc ring that's normally a foot off the ground should be ten feet off the ground to give the legs a bend. But how to make a body that is sized correct and the wind won't take away. Any ideas or thoughts?

If you want it hollow, light-weight and very little wind resistance, I find chicken wire to be good (or fencing if it needs to be stronger). What about forming a flattened sphere shape with some chicken wire, fasten it to the pole (or run the pole through it), and then wrapping strings of lights around it?

Yes I think chicken wire might work. When you said "run the pole through it" made me think, why not have the body low (I had been thinking up top like a tree topper). Low would look more real, be easier to mount, less wind. Thank you again Don. Now to work out body shape to use and size.
