This thread is for people to upload any cool transitions that they have created for use with LSP.

edit: Below method does not work on all systems. See post 4 for better method.

I have found that these can be created in Windows Movie Maker but must be encoded to an .avi file with specific output settings or they will crash LSP. I used a free version of a program called ImToo ASF converter 6 with the following settings:
Video Codec: msmpeg4
Video Size: 320x240
Bitrate: 192k
Encode Mode: CBR
On the Audio Codec tab;
select "Disable Audio" - Yes

I will start this off with a few solid colors that I made for Halloween use. They were intended to be used as primary and secondary colors in conjunction with an existing mask. They look cool on my RGB pixels and look nothing like they do on the monitor.

Here is another that is a derivation of the "wipe" mono transition included with LSP. The original doesn't "wipe" till about 3 seconds into the video so it doesn't look good in your sequence; like it's not on time. I fixed it by chopping the front half off and re-encoding.

Has anyone else tried these? I tried to load them into LSP on a different computer and I get an error. Just wondering if anyone else has used them succesfully.

Well it turns out the earlier posted files only worked on some computers and I couldn't figure out why. I discovered a program called Pinnacle VideoSpin. It's similar to MovieMaker and it's free. The good thing is that it can encode .avi files directly. If I use "AVI" file type, it does not work on all computers, however, if I select "DIVX" it still saves as an .avi and works on both of my computers that I have LSP on. I've deleted the old files and reuploaded new ones.

AVI is a container format, not an encoding. DivX (in your case) is an encoding type. That is why when you select DivX, it is still an AVI. The video itself will be compressed/encoded using divx, but still packaged as an AVI. The wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Container_format_(digital)) pages (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DivX#DivX_formats) can explain more.
