Hi,
Is there a controller renard or dmx that will controll 5 volts DC output.
I have made some RGB led balls with runs on 5 volts up to 1-2 amps with all colours on.
I have already DMX from RPM and also renard 16.
Hoping some one can help me
Many thanks
Colin

Is it 1-2A per channel or for all three channels together - or - what exactly is the per channel requirements - that will help define what you can use.

Colin, John's small 3 chan DMX boards will run them fine (I think I gave you one), and it looks like MPH's new 44 in the CV version might also. Both are DMX
The reason I say "might", is that it currently has a 7V input needed, but there may be plans to allow them to run directly off a 5V supply (I too want to run the LED balls here on them, and mine draw about 1.2A per channel, or 3.4A when on white). This is well within the capacity of the FET's used

Any DC controller with NPN transistor (or N-Channel FET) outputs should be ok.
You don't have to run the LEDs from the same supply as the controller.

I have a spare board of Johns 3 chan design if you want it - apparently you sent back the one I loaned to you. I can bring it to the mini if you like.

That will be great. If you have got a spare board. See you at the mini.
Thanks
