I'm overwhelmed by all of your kind words, thoughts and prayers - it is very much appreciated more than you know. While I'm surely biased, I can say without any hesitation that he was a truly good man and father. While he wasn't in the best of health in recent years, this was quite sudden and was brought on only within the last few days. My only regret was that I did not get to see him face-to-face before he passed but luckily I got to talk him this Sunday. I flew out to Illinois to see him when he was in the ER but didn't get here in time...

Losing a family member is a very hard thing to go through. You and your family are in my prayers for peace and comfort. From what you said it sounds like he was a great man and he will be sorely missed. But he's above now, and you'll see him again soon.
