I can not take any credit for the new DIYC forum theme. It was all done by Jon, jhartley. A big thanks goes out to Jon!

Thanks so much Jon, from the entire DIYC community!

Please let him know his hard work is appreciated.

You are missing something in the CSS. With the theme change, the homepage is broken in IE8. I have to use "Compatibility mode"

I like the the new theme. Especially the top banner. I would suggest darkening the Text colors on the Thread listing.. The thread names are just too bright. Perhaps make the Green and Red a bit darker.

I agree with kychristmas, a little darker would be nice.

Looks good. :)

I wonder if the "div.floatcontainer footer#footer"(the red part of the footer below) would look better with rounded corners.

I love it. It also makes the new logo look even better!

Speaking of the logo - - do we have vector versions of these available - and just the tree alone? I would like to place these on some PCB layouts.

Like being slapped in the face with a wet trout! (Gets your attention)

I'd vote for darker too, and the home page is busted under IE8 for me as well.

You likely have "Compatibility Mode" turned on. This is what I do for a living, trust me, its broken. Not a big deal because it does work in compatibility mode. Just wanted to let them know.

Minor issue...the button bar at the top isn't quite right. I'm running with Firefox 3.6.3 on an old Asus netbook with the FreeBSD 7.2-Release. The button bar (Forum:Blogs:...) isn't displaying right when the screen is re-sized horizontally, especially when the screen width is less that 960 pixels or so.

I have deactivated the Users Online module on the home page, until it can be fixed. There should no longer be any issues with IE8.

Looks great and fits the screen now without compatibility mode. Thanks Brian.

We believe we have fixed the Online Users issue on the DIYC Homepage when viewing in IE8. I have reactivated the module. Please go and check it out and let me know if it is working or not.

If it works then a Thanks goes out to Jon, if not then it is my fault, LOL.

Not that it really bothers me or anything but the pointer on the home page to my avatar is going to

http://doityourselfchristmas.com/forums//forums/customavatars/
instead of

http://doityourselfchristmas.com/forums/customavatars/ .

That should be fixed now.

Yes but now the avatars in the forums are pointing to

/customavatars/

rather than ...

/forums/customavatars/

so they work on the home page but are now broken inside the forums.

I could learn to really hate vBulletin if I had to maintain it ... ;-) ...

Thank you Brian, if it wasn't for you my Christmas wouldn't be Blinky Flashy.

Couldn't you make a symlink on the server from:

/customavatars/

To:

/forums/customavatars/

??

Hey Brian, I thought you'd might like to know. The changes you've made are looking so good I felt my own website was inadequate. Yup, thanks to you I've updated the appearance of my site.
