I am looking into buying an RV for family vacations. Anyone with experience and advice?

one thing i will tell you, if you go used, make sure to get one that was used, and did not sit. That is unless you plan on sinking money into it before using it. Granparents bought a used one, looked great, but sat and the seals and tanks went bad.

Thats about all my input.

I have a lot of experiene with them. I hope you like working on stuff cause if you don't you should wrap your head in a wet towel and hope the bad thoughts go away. LOL

We bought a park model camper and have it on a seasonal site in OOB ME.
The gas to drive there is a lot less in the family car :D
But if you're set on 'experiencing America'
and want the RV,
get a diesel pusher.
Better mileage and lower maintenance that the gas types.

What type of RV you looking at...pop-up, tow-lite, toy-hauler?

A class A motor home.

Aye, we have a high-wall folding trailer so I can't offer much in the way of experience with that specific rig.

I can say that it is one of the most fantastic things we have done. The kids absolutely love it and given their young age, it is nice to have the RV convenience.

Good luck!
