remote client

i have been trying to get the remote client working so i can control my lights from my computer in my house. When i select the server, than click on "ALL ON" or "ALL OFF" or "Toggle ALL", my servers network connection freezes up and the internet dosent work.. inside on my computer it also says "unhandeled exception has occured in your application. timeout trying to connect to the host (ip address)". There are no errors on the server. when i exit vixen and the server program (on the outside computer), the internet works again...
has this happened to anyone else? i was doing this yestorday and it worked fine, than today it just started not working.

I do not use the remote client. I use Log Me In. This allows me to control the show pc from anywhere I have access to the internet. I was using my laptop while in the yard today doing some testing. It was nice to not have to run inside like last year every time I needed to turn on another channel. You get total control over the pc, for free. There are a few of us who use it.
