Not sure if anyone knows this yet,
dirknerkle Mother passed away last Sunday.

Please keep Dave and his family in your prayers this week as he tends to funeral arrangements. This is a time that we can come together for our brother and pray for his comfort.

Gosh, everyone -- I am very appreciative of your wishes and thoughts. I can't believe all the notes, and PMs and emails I've received from DIYC friends -- it is very, very thoughtful of you all.

We're doing fine, by the way. There is no sadness in our house for with the renewed promise that Easter brings to us each year and with Easter Sunday only a couple weeks away, this is a glorious time to pass on to eternity.

However, I won't be doing so fine if I don't get my keester off this chair, get dressed and get to the service!!!

Having just lost my father last month, I'm well aware of how the many different emotions sweep through your mind. I'm hoping it was an easy passing, and that your family gets through the coming times all in a good way.

Thanks again, guys. We're all doing fine. She was 88, quite ill, and had been for quite some time. She quit eating and drinking in early February, her living will specified no intravenous feeding of any kind and we thought it'd be a matter of days after that. Then three weeks later it was March 1st. Then April 1st. We thought maybe she was the "2nd coming" because without food or water, nobody lives that long... Tough old gal!

But she finally took her last earthly breath on April 3rd.

She and my dad liked to go ballroom dancing together when they were younger. They're probably dancing together right now... ;)
