AnY gatherings in California ?

i was wondering if there were any Christmas light expo's or gathering/ workshops for animated lighting in California?

The folks over at PC have done a couple of gatherings but they've always been on weekends when I've been elsewise occupied. There really is only a handful of DIYers in any of the major Calif. pop centers -- I haven't done an official search, but from postings my guess is there is maybe a dozen in the Bay Area, a dozen in LA and another dozen scattered up and down the valley. So, by necessity, long drives for most people.

This time last year, I probably would have said, "Oh, I'll organize one." But I have a new job (now it's three half-time jobs and two quarter-time jobs and I'm still broke) and I just don't have the time or the energy.

But if someone else is interested in taking the lead, I would at least provide moral support :-) ...

wow what a work load ...i cant even contemplate how many hours that is a week. funny when i am struggling to even find a job :) thought i might start practicing my singing so i can win a contract on American Idol :) lmao.

well where would you or how would you go about searching for these type of events :)
