I just got my adapter in from china. Is there a way to test that it works without actually connecting a controller to it?

I'm in on round 1 of the renardSS coop. So I won't have a functional controller for some time.

You Connect. T+ to R+ and T- to R-.. Load hyperterminal or some kind of Terminal Emulator. I believe the cheap chinese ones come with an emulator on the Driver CD.. Pick the Com port than the USB device installs on and Type something in the Terminal.. It will display on the screen because the wires you connected "loopback"

Yep... Exactly That.. It just loops back the signal so what ever is transmitted is received and you can verify communication..

Skunberg was bumping all the threads so that the spammers were not on the top page. He bumped about 10 different threads.

I just report those threads. Then all moderators are notified and they disappear pretty quick.
