I am looking for a software design for something known as a color organ to use as a plug in for Vixen. What is does is takes various frequency components and uses them to light a number of channels. In other words the low frequencies in the music control one channel, the mid tones another channel and the high tones still another channel. Is anyone working on such a plug in or know of anyone who is.
Thanks for any help

there already is something in vixen similar to this in the add-ins list.

Called the Frequency Spectrum Analyizer. You must have a sequence open to get it to open.
After it is open, click on one of your channels (the channel name will pop up when you hoover over the channel bar) and drag it (a line will show) to whatever frequency you want to trigger it.
If you drag a line to somewhere you don't want it to really be click and hold on either end of the link line and drag it into the space area between the spectrum and channel bar and let go. The link line should be gone.
If a frequency doesn't have strong enough sound to trigger the channel on, click the scale up arrow on the left and/or drag the blue line (the point of on-ness) down a little in that frequency.
After you are all set with what channels are mapped to what frequencies click ok and it will farse (?) the music and add on/off to your sequence.
The play button (as far as I can tell) is only there to let you watch how the music looks in the spectrum. It does not do anything to your sequence. You can't play it like a piano though, if thats what your looking for.
