Anyone that has the CSI 2A does the iron handle get really hot? I was expecting it to stay cool however it's VERY hot.

What temperature are you running it at?
I use mine at around 310 for hours at a time and don't have a heat problem.

Actually I sent Macrosill a PM asking what temp he uses his station at and he told me around 380 so that is the temp I picked.

I'm in the market for a new soldering iron, and was wondering if the CSI handle heating problem was ever resolved? Exactly how hot does the handle seem to get?
The price seems good, they are always on backorder, and looks like a few of my fellow DIYC'ers use them.
Opinions, please!

I used my CS1 for soldering 4 595s and 64 SSR boards 2 Ren-c's and 1 Ren-t. The handle gets warm but its not uncomfortable. I mean that should be expected since the heating element is there and you are using it for hours.

Exactly what I was thinking. ;)

Thanks, guys. That was the info I was looking for.
