Looking for something like this for simplifying animated frames with a channel matrix instead of having to create it vertically.. This is just mapping channels into the matrix. . Maybe later I'd like the ability to be able to build my own matrix with channels i.e. taking like 2 SSR's and making a 4x4 matrix with them almost the same as LEDTriks but with the controllers themselves. I need to look more into making this Add-in just thought I'd throw this out there maybe someone has already started on something or was thinking about it.. Idea's / Comments..

The folks who use Vixen will say Vixen. The folks who use LSP will say LSP.

I guess I was trying to say (not very well, apparently) is that's a question that's impossible to answer.
I have both, and I prefer Vixen because I've used it for 3 years. I'm familiar with it. LSP is a relatively new product and has tremendous functionality, but some things in it are not as easy to use as they are in Vixen, while some effects in LSP are much easier to accomplish in LSP than in Vixen. It's not a black-and-white thing because it depends on (a) the equipment/lights/leds you have and (b) the effects you want to use in your show. It's like peanut butter. Some people like chunky, some like plain.
I will say that Vixen loads into memory much faster and is a more responsive sequencing tool. If you spend some time on LSP's web site and watch some of the videos, you'll see why -- some of the effects LSP has are pretty cool: you can "paint" the screen with a picture which sounds pretty neat. But there's a price you pay for those kinds of graphic-intensive features: they slow the computer down in comparison with a program that doesn't work with such a graphical internal structure.

you painted the Picture fine...glad to know you have used both so your choice decisions isn't uneducated. i am going to have about 208 channels at max so i can assume my RAM memory wont be too bad maybe like 1 or 2 gigs....which program allows more alterations and functionality to the lights? i want to be able to alter or change the most stupid things possible to the most visual oriented things ...from your last response it sounds like LSP might be the the right one for me.....lol still need a little more info nudging

This plug-in sounds like a great idea. Sounds like a great way to put that old Grinch that is up in the attic to good use. I wish you good luck with this plug-in development. Keep us posted on your progress.

well I know directly from KC that the new core of Vixen is in full swing. He is actively working it. We have talked about some awesome things to do with it already. I would not make any final decisions just yet.!!
