Ok I have followed all steps in Wayne's video's I have read the PDF I have downloaded the OS into the PicKit 2, PicKit 2 found, Placed pin in expander check communication Pic Kit found, nothing else. Should there be any jumpers on expander for Renard SS24 should I have to configure for any particular group if so how?

If you have the ICSP14, set the pins as shown for Group C.
If you have the ICSP20A, set the pins as shown for Group G.

Thanks I'm caught up on "as shown" as shown where? I have ICSP20A

Oh, sorry. My adapter came with documentation. There was a miniature CD that had the drivers, MPlab software, and a manual.

The easiest way is to put a jumper on each set of pins that is labeled for the group. In your case, it will be G (since you have the ICSP20A). For example, the picture on the page I linked you, you will see jumpers on each set of pins for "Group D" Simply jump everything for "G" instead:

Got it first chip programed, written, verified thanks. Am I safe to remove and repeat same steps for all other chips?
