I just bought a few sets of 100 Mutli-Colored "C7" shape diamond cut plastic LED lights.
I was not expecting the lights to flicker, however I seem to be the only one that notices the 60Hz flicker caused by I assume the way these sets are wired.
Is it common for some people to not notice the flicker?
And, is there anything that can be done about it, other than returning them for something else (or returning them and buying a fully rectified set) ?

I was wondering the same thing. I doubt that I can return them as I got them last year. Bugs me, so I'm not really using them at all this year.

I'll be using them on my Mr. Christmas (http://www.mrchristmas.com/product.php?line=Original&cat=19&product=430)
"fake" sequencer, the closest thing I have to a computer-controlled display :P
I decided to go for LED lights because I'm really running out of power, last year I smoked a few of my extension cords.
I haven't really decided yet what I'm going to do. The 60Hz flicker gives me headaches after looking at it long enough, where other people don't even notice it apparently.
I don't suppose adding a capacitor into the circuit would smooth out the waveform?

I just bought some more LED lights I found at Kroger. These are made by General Electric (GE) and appear to have a rectifier built into the plug. They do not flicker at all from what I can see, nor do they have the 'strobe' effect on moving objects like the cheaper lights.
