I thought this might be helpful for those people who have 500ft long cable runs to thier antennas because I wouldn't want to advocate outputting more than is allowed by your current governing body. But the 88-108FM Spectrum falls within the same range that is used by cable providers. They can use this spectrum because the cable system is closed. Meaning no signal in to interfere with them and they arn't allowed to let signal out that could interfere with other off-air broadcasters. But because that falls with-in this range. Cable amplifiers are innexpensive and can be found almost anywhere. Typically they will give you a 15dB gain over the incoming signal level. Which is effectively 32 times the output. Like I said I wouldn't recommend this unless you have a need but if you're having problems getting signal that's a way to get it. Just look out for the Men-in-Black. :)
