Serial Port in Vixen

So I bought this controller http://www.electronickits.com/kit/complete/elec/ck1610.htm
and I would really like it to work in Vixen. None of the plug-ins seem to work. It works really well with the software that came with it, but Vixen is way more cool.

I don't have any experience programming anything, maybe thats why I'm having such a hard time. I'm using windows vista and have a usb to serial cable.

Also, I have no idea what I would use the isolated inputs for in this controller.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unless you're a programmer and ready to write your own plug-in (or can somehow convince someone else to do so!) you're probably out of luck. You need a software layer to interpret Vixen and output the right format to that box. It could work, but like I said - would require a plug-in.

alos, those look to be mechanical relays, which dont stand up to alot of rapid on off changes with the load of lights.
