Something is not right, and its obviously user error.. I'm trying to copy the adjustable preview data (the picture and channel light placement) from a completed sequence to a new work in progress sequence without having to re-map all the channels over the picture of my house again...?

I'm trying to use the TOOLS->COPY DATA feature, but the plugin data seems to get lost? What am I doing wrong? I can successfully copy the actual sequence beats and segments, but not the plug in stuff - even though it is checked... even expanded and individually checked....?

I never did find a way to do that either. I just used windows explorer and made a copy of the first sequence which gave me all the plugin data and such, then I shortened the sequence to 1 sec to get rid of the data, and then I added my audio and started sequencing. After I got going I would do a save as to give it a proper name. Hope this helps.

If you use profiles all the pugin data including the adjustable preview is available to any sequence that uses that profile.

In your original sequence say...

Profiles >>> Create profile from sequence.

In the new sequence say...

Profiles >>> Attach sequence to profile.

Any updates to the any of the plug ins are now done thru Profiles >>> Manage are are reflected in all sequences that use the profile.

@jrock64: I've tried that, I've got a profile called HOUSE, apply it to a new sequence, then I have to flatten profile to sequence (I think is the command) before the plugins button appears not grayed out, and no preview data is available :(

@biffklg: That might be the easier way for me too -- :(

The reason the plug ins are grayed out is because they are no longer available in individual sequences.

All maintenance is done thru the profile manager.
Once you select a profile the plugins are on the lower right.

Everything after that is the same as what you are used to.

I use 2 sequences for each song-one of the front of the house and one of the side house.
I use the copy data under tools menue (the one where it asks source sequence and destination sequence)
Found that youmust have all sequences closed first.
paste the source sequence in then just check the box with the plug in data-check the preview box as well. no neeed to check any other boxes
then paste in the destination sequence then copy
I some how played with it and I obtained two seperate preview windows (one of the front and oneofthe side house all on same screen (ddn't need to renumber or change the preview channel numbers. havn't been able to duplicate yet but it did work. still have it on flash drive.
hope this helps
