are you using 1 or 2 cables between your 595 adn your board? Also have you verified your cables

Well it seems to be a cable problem. Some channels dim and some don't so it must be a cable from the 595 to the SSRs. Will dig ino this more later. Thanks for the direction.

Hope someone here can help. I have two 595's two Ren-C's, and the Ren-T. Just built 32 SSRNeons. Hooked everything up and discovered nothing dims. Only on / off. Using the Renard Dimmer (modified) plugin. I tried using just plugging in one Ren-C and 595 but still nothing but on/off. Any suggestions? I have verified the cables and plug connections as well. Hope to here back.

Is the ZC led on the Ren-C blinking about once per second? ZC is essentially to dimming. I'm actually not sure whether a Ren-C works at all without the ZC, but I suppose it's possible it might work for on/off control only.

I'm not an expert here, but when I see things like "Using the Renard Dimmer (modified) plugin" it makes me wonder.
What has been modified here? How do you know that this component is working? I wouldn't think you would have to
use a "modified" plugin at all.

I used the Renard Dimmer (modified) because thats the plugin identified on the WIKI as to plugin to use.

Good deal. That tells me that the Ren-C's firmware is likely okay.

That's the right one to use. Make sure the plugin's protocol version is set to use Type 1, and that the plugin is active with the box checked in the plugin selection screen. Of course, make certain the baud rate, parity and stop bits settings are an exact match for the Ren-C's firmware, or it just won't work.

I setup the plugin as identified in the WIKI
VIXEN Settings
The Ren-C requires the Renard Dimmer or Renard Dimmer (modified) Plug-In.
Renard Dimmer Plug-In Settings:
Protocol Version: 1
COM1 (or whichever COM port you are connected to)I am using the serial Com1 port.
Baud: 57600
Parity: None
Data bits: 8
Stop bits: One
