hello

I introduce myself, my name is Cedric and I'm from France

I do not speak English, I use google translation

I'm falling on this forum because I want a controller for play of light on a carnival float (an example of games with an automatic light control http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-71MvJT5LY)

I would like therefore creates a controller 595 for olsen replace the controller

I try to browse the forum for finding information but not easy with the language barrier

does anyone could give me a link for the artwork of the PCB and parts list

how is the connection to parallel port 595 olsen pc?

olsen behind the 595 I would do because I'll monitor dc ssr 12vdc relays (relays that are already installed on the carnival float)

thank you for your help;)

Welcome to DIYC. We are glad to meet you!

Go to the DIYC FILE LIBRARY, and choose the COPPER area. You will find a picture of the OLSEN 595 board there if you want to make your own.

Or you can order the blank 595 circuit board from macrosill, the administrator of the DIYC site.

The board connects to the computer at the PARALLEL port. It uses pins 1, 2, 14 and ground.

Good luck!

you could use the renard c controller http://www.doityourselfchristmas.com/wiki/index.php?title=Renard-595_Converter will make the 595 work with serial port or usb and will let you dim the lights
If your relays are random cross type zero cross no dim

You can connect many 595s together

I believe you mean dimming. Yes, the Renard will allow you to dim the output of the 595 if you desire it. I believe you do not want that as you are using SSRs that are already part of your float display.

The other purpose of the Renard C is to feed the 595 from the serial port of the PC. It will perform the protocol conversion for you.

Welcome to the group.
