I was thinking that after the show I could flip a switch to turn some of the lights back on through the night and I didn't like the idea having a channel on through the night... I could wirer dual lines to the lights, one for the ssr channel and the other straight power... I just wonder, is it going to mess the relay up by going backwards? or do i need to put some type of diode in?
Thanks

I solved this problem by going to home depot and purchasing cheap outdoor light fixtures for $4 each (3 of them) and always leaving the "porch lights" off, but using vixen to turn on the "fake porch lights".
It looks really cool. The show ends, and the "fake porch lights" slowly fade on. Really neat.

If you wire it properly, it shouldn't damage your relay.
If you don't wire it properly, you'll blow a fuse (if you're lucky) or worse (if you're not).
Maybe you could solder a wire and a switch on the low-voltage side of the SSR instead of the high voltage side? (I'm not sure what this might do to your controller, though... it's too late in the workday, my brain is fried.)

If it's just one channel, why not use a SPDT switch to control the power to the hot side of the lights.

maybe it will help to describe what I have going on...
I have eight mini tree along side of my sidewalk... they are each attached to ssr one channel each, then a reindeer and two doe. I also have a string light tree that swirls.
All these are on ssr for a total of 12 channels... They are part of the show... but after the show instead of everything being dark I would like to turn these things, I just listed, back on without having to worry about burning a channel up... I really don't want to unplug and replug every night.. So that is why I was wondering if lets say I want each of those trees on to light up the path. That would be eight channels... They would be off but If I splice into the wire coming from the channel before the light plug and provide 110vac so I can get the trees to come on after the show... but the part I am worry about is the back flow of power going back into the channel(relay)
I believe I got everything wired right... just matter those relay getting a back flow... Thanks for any help

Solid state Relay, no, they will be fine (as long as the Temp of the TRIAC is not too hot). a generous heatsink on the TRIAC and they should be able to switch 100 % duty cycle 24/7.
WHen I have not used a heatsink, and the TRIACs were too hot, the TRAIC metal tab changed colour from a light silver, to a dusky grey due to the temperature.
Running the traics with a angle 1 inch alum heatsink, mine are happy TRAICs all night.
