So I have my display running great now, and I have had alot of visitors so far, in less than a week. I watch them on my security camera's most of the time. I realized if I go out side when someone is watching the show, they usually drive away really fast. They must not like being watched while watching my show.
I was sitting in my office tonight working on something and had the security cameras up on my second monitor. I notice a car sitting in front of my house just accross the street. When my Mega tree lit up all gold, the light illuminated the car and it was clear it was a police car. First thing popped into my mind was "uh oh, there must be a problem". Then less than a minute later another officer drove up. Now I am thinking that maybe my out door speakers are too loud and someone complained. So I decided to go out side to make sure everything was ok. One of the officers yells out the windows of his patrol car "nice work, it looks great". So I walk over to the car and start chatting with him, he asked all the normal questions, "how did you do it?", "how did you get it to work through the radio?" Then he tells me that he just text messaged all of the other on duty police officers my address and I would probably be seeing more of them.
So we finally go back in the house, over the next 45 minutes a tottal of 7 officers came by, at one point I had 3 police cars in front of my house. At another point a family was in front of the house in a Suburban enjoying the show, and then a police car pulled up, followed by another. The Suburban promptly departed. They probably thought they were in trouble for stopping in the street.
So needless to say I feel safer tonight, I doubt anyone will mess with my display with all of the police action around here.
This is starting off to be the best year yet. Now if I can just get those news reporters over here with their cameras and helicopters.
