Accidental Short

So through some trial and error, I believe that I may have accidentally shorted out my boards. The ones that aren't working anyways. What i have is none of the chips on the Grinch worked, but once replaced, it worked fine. All of the chips on the Ren-C work, the lights light up as they are supposed too (except the Rx light for either board, it just doesn't do anything). But the Ren-C does not work. If I had crossed wires and hooked the power to the grinch up backwars initially (which i am assuming ios what happened here) what on the Ren-C whould have gone bad?

I am trying to get the job done without replacing the whole board.
