View Full Version : Helix Sequence Problem

I am trying to get my sequence put on to my new Helix controller. But when I power up the board to run the sequence all the channels come on then they start turning on and off randomly. I can't figure it out. And it's late in the game to have a major problem. I even changed my sequence to put all the channels constant on, but it still does the same thing.

Help please.

Please provide a few more details and I will try to help:

1) What version of Vixen are you using?

2) How many channels?

3) Are you running a standard Helix only system or using the Helix to control Renards or DMX?

4) Are you only trying to run the one sequence in a show or are there multiple sequences.

I may need a copy of your sequence and all of the files that were created by the Helix Network Supervisor to do much troubleshooting.

I think I figured out my original problem, but I have a new one. Or maybe I didn't not sure. LOL

Vixen 2.1.4.0
64 Channels
Standard Helix System
Just one sequence in a show

Like I said before I got the first 32 channels to work, but I ran into a new problem. I setup my mega tree and started to test its channels. Some things seem weird. None of the channel sequence is getting sent to the daughter board. Actuall as soon as I apply source power all my lights come on at once and stay on. The red LEDs are also turning on on my SSRs. I'm running my CAT5 cable from the bank 2 outlet to the daughter board.

If this makes no sense I can call you if you want to PM your number. I'm up in Tulsa.

Worked with Greg and got all my problems solved. It was all user error. :-)
