I have two Rec-C's put together, and niether one of them work right I think.

I have the Ren-T hooked to the Ren-C and the Ren-C to the Grinch.
the Power for the Ren-C is provided from the Grinch. When powered up with the Ren-T on, all the LED's on the Ren-C turn on, except for the Rx LED, it does not turn on. When the Ren-T is turmed on, All turn off, except the power LED stays lit and the Heartbet does it's thing properly.

Is the Rx LED supposed to stay off at all times?

Both of them i have set up do this.

Also, Cameron was kind enough to program and test the chips for me, so I would be certain this is not the problem.

Looks like there is something wrong with the serial communications. The RxD light should be on when it is receiving properly formatted data, and the Overrun and Framing Error LEDs should be off.

Check the cables, and make sure that the Vixen plugin is set for the right baud rate.

I think you misunderstand.
No data transfer yet, I can't get that part running, and am starting from the front and working forward.

I have the jumper on the Grinch to supply power to the Ren-C. I read somewhere on there forums that all the lights on the Ren-C were supposed to go on when the +5v is supplied to the Grinch, when the Ren-T is not yet on. In this state, I only have 4 lights on: Power, Framing, Overrun, and Heartbeat.

My question is, should this be the case, or should the Rx be on as well?

Now once I turn the Ren-T on, Framing and Overrun turn off, and The Power remains on, and the Heartnbeat flashes as it is supposed to.

Hmm...mine has just the power LED on. On the other hand, I've been fooling around with the firmware so much that my board may not behave the same as yours.

But, for now, I wouldn't worry about what you are seeing on the RxD LED, just go on with the rest of your testing and worry about that later.
