i purchased the full lengths from Amazon already, but not sure how easy it is to shorten them. I am sure a couple people have used them and wondering if you will share your edited versions.

Audacity is a great free audio editing software, it has all kinds of built in editing functions for cutting and splicing songs. Google it and give it a try if someone doesnt have an edited version you can use.

i downloaded it last night, have not installed it yet. Not sure how much of a learning curve there is though.

if you can sequence a song then it will be no problem.

I agree! Audacity is a great freeware software for doing basic mixing or advanced mixing. It's free and it works well! I've mixed my entire show with Audacity and it is pretty intuitive! I decided to trim down a few songs that had to much repetition and the cut was nearly unnoticeable (unless you are familiar with the song ;) ) Also, audacity does not work with protected content such as .wma or .aac. Mp3's can be mixed and played, but you must download 'LAME' encoder (also free) to convert the mixed file to .mp3. Download it and play around with it, as sophisticated as it is, it barely uses resources and doesn’t require much of an install!
The manual below will help familiarize you with most of its functions, I use mostly cut, paste, copy, fade in, fade out, amplify ect.
Happy Mixing!
