Has any one successfully converted Vixen sequences to LSP???

Can we start a topic to share tips and tricks of using LSP from a Vixen perspective?

LSP can convert Vixen, LOR, and AL files. I don't know how well it converts Vixen or AL, but LOR seems right on. The only problems I have ran into is exporting, things seem to slag a little.

I am running my show with lsp, and sequencing with lor and every sequence looks good so far.

I noticed the same thing so far - I imported one of last year's Vixen sequences in with the audio and it took a loonnnnggg time (several minutes at least) to get back to the sequencing window. Making minor edits also seemed to take a very long time. I'm hoping it's not this way starting from scratch. I don't have a fast computer for trying this but then again it's the same one that I used to edit/run the show with Vixen last year with no issues...

When did you do the import.
I created the simplest Vixen sequence.
When I import all I get is the audio and the "Drag a controller here to begin" screen

The closest I can find is a thread that says the Vixen converter was broke in release 1.7 in MAY.

If it was fixed I never found a follow up post.

Found an error in the log.
Going to post that and maybe I will get an answer.

Have your tried setting up your channels and controllers before importing the sequence, or have you added the plug-ins in Vixen?

I don't know if that will make a difference or not, but it is worth a try.

Do you mean when as in calendar-wise? If so it was ~3 weeks ago after buying LSP. AFAIK it's the latest version (1.7). To be honest I didn't look too hard it yet as I'm still finalizing hardware stuff anyway. I'll start over and document things a bit better. I'm hoping at a minimum to have last years sequences converted over so I least have that to start with. The vixen sequence is somewhat complex at ~200 channels.

I think the bad news is that all my stuff is 2.5 beta.
Not the official release.

Will try to cut and paste back to the previous version of Vixen.
No idea if Vixen can do that or not.

I know the pre upgraded sequences are still out there, but I will loose a full year or more of tweaks.

Was there ever a vixen 2.5 to 2.1 converter.
Maybe not official, but I thought it was mentioned by KC.
