As per the first post in the group buy thread, I thought these were going to be shipping with the PCB's and thus we wouldn't have any shipping with this. It says in the PCB payment thread that shipping is already included there. Can you please clarify this? It seems that we would be paying shipping twice here.

all is being shipped together. the shipping from the other thread is the shipping from aussie to us for the pcb only. i never included shipping from me to you. so that is what that shipping is.

I'm confused as well. I ordered 5 PANELs of the PCBs. I paid AussiePhil $25.00. I ordered 200 of the light covers for $22.00 and I sent you $33.91 which means $11.91 for shipping to get the pcbs from AUS plus the cost to ship me the light covers. Now in this payment post it shows that I owe $10.70 for shipping of Kit 1 and Kit 3 from this coop but it shows I owe you a TOTAL of $89.32. $89.32 - $10.70 = $78.62 but the column for Kit 3 shows $78.00. It also shows I need to send AussiePhil $24.00 for the Kit 1 parts.

I must be missing something but the math's not adding up. Can you give us a better breakdown of what it cost to get the pcbs from AUS. I'm not disputing the costs just not sure why the shipping got split up in such an odd way when in the end, from what I've gathered in these group buy posts, you'll be shipping everything in one package to those of us on DIYC.

Any clarification would be really appreciated.

UPDATE:

I pulled up the payment image from the PCB and covers Payment Post. I entered the numbers off of that into an Excel spreadsheet and I came up with the following numbers:

TOTAL Boards ordered 6730 or 168.25 panels (6730 divided by 40 per panel)
TOTAL Covers ordered 6870

Using the $.11 price per cover from the coop, multiplying by the total each member ordered, and subtracting that from the total each member owed fathead45, I derived the amount added for shipping (and any other fees). I don't know if this included the cost to ship the covers to us or if as stated above this was only the cost to get the boards to the US from AUS, but the total collected for shipping (and any other fees) came to $551.99. Based on this I would refer back to my request above to get a better breakdown of the cost to get the boards from AUS to the US. If other costs are included in that amount it would be helpful to know how those were determined.

Some of the parts (I believe pack 1) are being shipped from aussiphil with the pcb. That is why we are paying him for some of the parts.

I believe the paypal fees are included in fathead's total to him. However no paypal fees seem to be included in aussiphil totals.

This quote and the shipping $ that were added to the cover payment lead me to think the flat rate shipping for a small box was included even thought it was stated elswhere it wouldn't be.

There seems to be $.62 discrepancy... I don't understand but it is very confusing. The order quantitiies are correct, so I assumed the cost is also (dangerous but at this hour ). Paypaled pay this amout as listed.

Personally, I still don't understand how the numbers were arrived at - still can't get them to work out, but will have to trust that they are correct. But I still have a couple questions.

1. who is the shipping paid to?
2. Is the amount that I've already paid Matt and Phil subtracted from what is shown on the form, or shall I subtract the amount I've already paid?

unless your ordered pcbs/parts directly from phil and he is shipping them direct to you, that is the only shipping you will pay him.

the shipping on there is paid to me as i am shipping all the parts to you. he is just using the same sheet as me so we can keep it straight.

You only to worry about paying for the amount highlighted.

Pricing goes as follows:
Pack 1 - .12 each
pack 2 - .37 each
pack 3 - .39 each

the packs have all the paypal fees included in them. the extra shipping has paypal fees on them as well. so if your off by like .60 or so then that is what the extra is. it doesnt show it on the sheet as it is off the screen and i cant screen shot it.

this sheet and amount on the sheet is serperate from the pcb/cover group buy. this amount show is just for parts only.

that is right dirk, i had to take the old sheet down as i messed up shipping. which i do owe you some back b/c of overcharging on shipping.

the parts pack 1 is coming from phil, but he is shipping them to me to put in with the rest of the parts i already have for everyone. so instead of paying me and me paying him for pack 1, you are just paying him direct. saves everyone from have to pay double the fees for parts pack 1.

so the PCBS and parts pack 1 is paid to aussiephil.

covers, pp 2 and 3, and all shipping is to me.

so as of right now if you went all thru the group buys here you will have made 2 payments to both of us. im working on trying to finish up a sheet to help lay it out. but after thurs i wont have net access til sunday night.

The PIC's have now all been ordered and should arrived in the next 10 days, Fathead45 was ordering the NUD4001's so they should arrive about the same time.

Once i have the Pack1's sorted this weekend the bulk shipment to the US can go out to Fathead45 next week.

Default Strobe Group UPDATE - ALL PARTS ARE HERE
Hey guys, been busy with work but finally after all the waiting all parts have arrived. i will be a sorting fool the rest of the weekend trying to push out as many as i can for monday shipment. shipments will start monday and i hope to have all out by weds. again sorry for the wait but i was just waiting on pcbs which have shown up.

i will update everyone as they get shipped. you will also be able to see your tracking info thru paypal. i will be shipping usps priority so most will get by the end of the week.
