I was doing some testing with 7 strands of LED lights on 7 different channels last night. I am using some crydom OAC5 type SSR's on a standard digital I/O board for that type of module. When I turn on the 120V, part of the LED's on each strand of lights turn on even though the channel is off. When I turn the channel on, all the LED's on the strand light. If I hook up normal mini lights, everything is fine. Any suggestions?

LEDs don't have enough of a load for the SSRs - try plugging in LEDs and normal mini lights. I have heard of people adding resistors or something but I have never done it.

You can also add a single C7 or C9 to give the SSR a load.

I figure you need a load which will burn about 4 watts or so.. I ended up wiring eight 28k 1/2watt resistors in parallel (total resistance of ~3500 ohms) and sticking these in a little edison plug housing. Does the trick nicely :)
