Remote client set up - now what?

I've got the remote client set up, per the howto located at http://www.christmasinshirley.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=309, but I can't get the client PCs to show up in the list, and I'm not sure how to proceed. I've never used it before, has anyone got any tips?
